   The great underground conflict following the death of Thrór.
   A great war of the later Third Age between the Dwarves and Orcs. Precipitated by the murder of King Thrór by the orc-chieftain Azog, the War lasted six years, and the Orcs were eventually defeated at the Battle of Nanduhirion.
